Peggy Liggit is currently the Interim Director of the Bruce K. Nelson Faculty Development Center. She earned her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology (Univ. of Nevada-Reno, 1994) and her undergraduate degree in Biology with certifications in secondary biology and chemistry education (Northern Arizona Univ., 1981). Peggy has been on EMU's campus for fourteen years, serving two years as Director of Academic Assessment and twelve years as professor in the Department of Biology teaching and conducting research in science education. She is interested in learner-centered teaching, organizational change theory, and personality and learning style inventories for relationship-building.
